Auditions for the 8th Annual Summer Musical: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast
Get ready to “Be Our Guest” as The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC announces auditions for the summer musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. The summer musical is for children ages 12-21 years. Any experience level is encouraged to audition. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast tells the timeless tale of a cursed man-turned-beast who must earn the love of the kind young woman he imprisoned in his enchanted castle. Performances will be on the main stage at bergenPAC August 2-5 and feature two sets of casts.
The mission of the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC is to provide high quality training in the theater arts while also offering training in life skills such as public speaking, improved focus, social skills, self-confidence and team building with unique and “hands-on” training by industry professionals that allow them to gain real world experience. Past summer musicals presented by the Performing Arts School include CATS, 42nd Street, Fame, Children of Eden, AIDA, Les Misérables and West Side Story.
Performers should arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time for sign up and to warm up and bring a headshot and resume. They should prepare a 32-bar selection and a 1-minute monologue. An accompanist will be provided, but please bring sheet music in a binder.
