bergenPAC’s regional theater school offers weekly classes for all ages in the dramatic arts and musical theater as well as college and audition preparation for aspiring actors continuing their education. bergenPAC also presents theatrical productions throughout the year on an audition basis.

Earn College Credit!

Learn more about the Dual Enrollment Program at Bergen Community College. High school juniors and seniors can receive college credit for just $73.25 per credit plus a one-time registration fee of $15.25! There are currently six classes at The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC where students can receive college credit from Bergen Community College: The Performing Arts School Show Chorus, Advanced Jazz Dance, Teen Acting Technique, Summer Musical, Private Voice Lessons and Private Piano Lessons. These college credits are transferable to many colleges in the state of New Jersey!

About Musical Theater Voice

Students will focus on songs from the musical theater cannon, and will teach students to incorporate actable moments into song.

Showtime Jr. Performs Aladdin Jr. (Ages 6–12)

About Showtime Jr.

Students will have the opportunity to perform in our production of Aladdin Jr.! Students are required to register for Tuesdays & Saturday rehearsal, which will end in a musical performance (Location TBA). Placement auditions to take place during the first week of class. Students should prepare a selection from the show.

 

About Aladdin Jr.

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.

The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!

Attendance and Lateness

Consistent attendance is crucial to the learning process. Please call the office to inform us of all absences. Tardiness is very disruptive to the class, please make every effort to be on time.

Cancellations

In the event that classes are cancelled, students will be notified via telephone/email or a notice will be posted on our Website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Refunds

No refunds. Credit may be given due to prolonged illness with a medical note.

The Performing Arts School

The Performing Arts School provides arts education to students age 3 months to 21 years throughout Northern New Jersey. With classes in all types of performing arts, outreach programs throughout the state, and programming for children with special needs, every donation helps create more opportunities for new artists.
