YCS Youth Bloom with 'Coloring My World'

18th Annual YCS Blossoms Art Exhibit & Awards Show

Tuesday, May 13th from 6-8 p.m. Award show begins at 6:35 p.m.

Honoring Frank & Valerie Huttle, bergenPAC Founder and Chair

The YCS Blossoms Art Exhibit celebrates the talents of children, ages 6-21 in YCS special education schools and therapeutic residences. This year, the gallery comes alive as the children express themselves in an array of mediums, poetry, and live on-stage performances –including three exciting urban dance numbers choreographed by Solo Expressions.

Blossoms was originally showcased in 2004 at a local public library. Several years later, it caught the attention of the bergenPAC and has been featured there annually ever since. The exhibition has earned the reputation of touching the hearts of viewers and is a testament to what can happen when we encourage and believe in every child’s creativity and potential.

Frank and Valerie Huttle are being honored for their passion and commitment to the arts and for welcoming our children into the bergenPAC for the past 14 years. It is because of their vision and perseverance that the Bergen PAC was opened to the community in 2004 – the same year as the inception of Blossoms. YCS is very grateful to the bergenPAC and its talented, caring staff for giving our youth a beautiful platform to believe in themselves and dream big.

Rich Baratta, the awards presenter for Blossoms, has had great success in both the film and music industries.  He is a Grammy-nominated musician and an Academy Award nominee.  Rich lives in Tenafly with his wife, artist Jill Baratta,
