LET’S DANCE! – SWINGTIME PLAYS AMERICA’S DANCE HITS

New York’s high-powered Swingtime Big Band returns to bergenPAC to celebrate America250 by showcasing the popular music that kept Americans dancing for decades—from the Lindy and Fox Trot to the Cha Cha to the Twist!  Starting with Benny Goodman’s theme song (Let’s Dance), this entertaining 20-piece ensemble brings to life classic recordings by Count Basie, Glenn, Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown, and Ray Anthony, among others.  Plus, Swingtime’s engaging singers—Zack Alexander and Bobbie Ruth--salute iconic vocalists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Keely Smith, and Frank Sinatra, and also celebrate the 100^th birthdays of entertainment legends Jerry Lewis, Marilyn Monroe and Tony Bennett.
