bergenPAC’s regional theater school offers weekly classes for all ages in the dramatic arts and musical theater as well as college and audition preparation for aspiring actors continuing their education. bergenPAC also presents theatrical productions throughout the year on an audition basis.

Earn College Credit!

Learn more about the Dual Enrollment Program at Bergen Community College. High school juniors and seniors can receive college credit for just $69 per credit! There are currently three classes at The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC where students can receive college credit from Bergen Community College: Chamber Chorus, Advanced Jazz Dance, and Teen Acting Technique. These college credits are transferrable to many colleges in the state of New Jersey!

Creative Drama Tots (Ages 4-5)

This class introduces children into the wrold of drama. Children will get the chance to explore storytelling with the use of their imagination.

Intro To Drama (Ages 6-7)

  • Tuesday: 5:00pm-6:00pm

About Intro to Drama

Acting games and age-appropriate acting technique. Culminates in a non-musical performance at the end of each semester.

Creative Drama 1 (Ages 7-9)

Schedule

  • Monday: 5:00pm-6:00pm
  • Thursday: 4:00pm-5:00pm

Acting, singing, and dance in a musical theatre style. The program culminates in a specially constructed mini-musical performance at the end of each semester.

Creative Drama 2 (Ages 10-12)

  • Thursday: 5:00pm-6:00pm

Beginning and intermediate actors explore work on the stage with improvisation, monologues, and scene work. No singing required. Showcase performance at the end of season.

Students will focus on songs from the musical theater cannon, and will teach students to incorporate actable moments into song.

This class will rotate throughout the year to cover a variety of theatrical topics in-detail.

Private Acting/Voice Lessons

Available Monday through Friday 5pm-9pm. By appointment only.

Musical Theater Dance (Ages 13-18)

About Musical Theater Dance

This class teaches choreography from Broadway, National Tours, Regional Theaters and Auditions to aid students in preparing for a career in musical theater.

Registration

All registrations must be paid in full by cash, check or credit card upon enrollment.

Attendance and Lateness

Consistent attendance is crucial to the learning process. Please call the office to inform us of all absences. Tardiness is very disruptive to the class, please make every effort to be on time.

Cancellations

In the event that classes are cancelled, students will be notified via telephone/email or a notice will be posted on our Website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Refunds

No refunds. Credit may be given due to prolonged illness with a medical note.

The Performing Arts School

The Performing Arts School provides arts education to students age 3 months to 21 years throughout Northern New Jersey. With classes in all types of performing arts, outreach programs throughout the state, and programming for children with special needs, every donation helps create more opportunities for new artists.
