bergenPAC’s regional theater school offers weekly classes for all ages in the dramatic arts and musical theater as well as college and audition preparation for aspiring actors continuing their education. bergenPAC also presents theatrical productions throughout the year on an audition basis.

Earn College Credit!
Learn more about the Dual Enrollment Program at Bergen Community College. High school juniors and seniors can receive college credit for just $73.25 per credit plus a one-time registration fee of $15.25! There are currently six classes at The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC where students can receive college credit from Bergen Community College: The Performing Arts School Show Chorus, Advanced Jazz Dance, Teen Acting Technique, Summer Musical, Private Voice Lessons and Private Piano Lessons. These college credits are transferable to many colleges in the state of New Jersey!

About Musical Theater Dance
This class teaches choreography from Broadway, National Tours, Regional Theaters and Auditions to aid students in preparing for a career in musical theater.

Scene Study for Adults ( Ages 18+)

About Scene Study for Adults 18+
Learn or revisit acting fundamentals with an emphasis on imagination, breathwork, and physicality. Theater exercises, warm-ups, and monologue practice will make up the first several weeks of class. Students will then work on partnered scene work for the following few weeks. The class culminates with a showing of select scenes & monologues.
Please bring a memorized monologue to the first class. Students should understand that they are making a commitment to the class and their scene partner(s) so regular attendance is highly encouraged.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy

About Showtime Jr.
Students will have the opportunity to perform in a production. Students are required to register for rehearsal, which will end in a musical performance (Location TBA). Placement auditions to take place during the first week of class. Students should prepare a selection from the show.

The Performing Arts School
The Performing Arts School provides arts education to students age 3 months to 21 years throughout Northern New Jersey. With classes in all types of performing arts, outreach programs throughout the state, and programming for children with special needs, every donation helps create more opportunities for new artists.
