A Message from bergenPAC,
President & CEO
Dear friends of bergenPAC,
I hope this finds you well. I have to say it was great to see Governor Phil Murphy reopen the Jersey Shore heading into Memorial Day Weekend. Summer will be here soon, and that is certainly an encouraging step. However, we know patience is so important right now as we work together to stay safe.
This summer can still be full of fun as I am excited to share that the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC will offer a variety of virtual summer camps and classes for all ages. There will be two musical theater programs for younger and older students, dance intensives for pre-teens and teens and evening dance workshops that are open to all ages – even adults. Teens who hope to take their love of the performing to the next level will appreciate our special college audition workshop. And of course, our popular Early Childhood Music sessions will continue so parents can enjoy bonding with their children as they develop their motor and social skills.
You can see the full list of what we have planned at bergenpac.org/summer.
I look forward to welcoming you all back to the theater when the time is right. New shows are being announced while we reschedule others. You can buy your tickets with confidence, knowing that if a show is cancelled, you will always have the option for a refund or premium credit to another performance.
For now, please continue to stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
President & CEO
The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC Begins Online Instruction
The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC now offers online instruction so children can study theater, dance and music from the comfort and safety of their homes. This is a great way to keep kids engaged right now, while also helping them develop important life skills, like discipline, creativity and self-confidence.
Part of bergenPAC’s mission is to make performing arts education more accessible to everyone in the community. We believe no child should be turned away because of financial hardship, so scholarships are available. See more information at bergenpac.org/scholarships.
The classes work through ZOOM which allows teachers and students to communicate in real time. Also used is Google Classroom to share information and upload videos for student preparation and teacher review. Some other apps may be used depending on the program, like private lessons.
Some classes are already in session, but it’s not too late for new students to sign up and join the fun.
Classes that were in session are now continuing, but it's not too late for new students to sign up and join the fun. For more information and a listing of current classes, please visit bergenpac.org/onlineclasses.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email Creative Director, Alexander Diaz, at [email protected].
